A Little Historical Information

Yes, at my age all information about me becomes historical.

Born and raised in a suburb of Philadelphia, I was attracted to the medical profession early in life. Perhaps my mom’s obstetrician was an especially handsome guy or possibly those TV medical dramas in the fifties (Ben Casey, Dr. Novak, etc.) hooked me. Whatever the reason, after a stint at Penn State, I attended nursing school in Philadelphia, got my diploma and worked in one of the earliest Shock/Trauma units. Then I was off to Baltimore and a few years as an OR nurse before I decided anesthesia was where I belonged. I trained at Johns Hopkins, and  happily practiced my profession – Nurse Anesthesia – for the past forty-plus years. So you see, I’m no spring chicken.

About thirty-five years ago I moved to Orlando and I eventually found my way to a lovely town on Florida’s Space Coast. The space program has expanded beyond NASA and  I am
still thrilled at the sound of rocket launches and hope to be around for the next attempt to visit the moon.

I have been rescued by two cats who have agreed to keep me company in exchange for food and cuddles. You may see them about from time to time.
Now that I am retired,
I  have also cut way back on my crafting. I no longer sell my jewelry and resin creations at the Funky Mermaid in Satellite Beach, and will be selling most of my display items and resin molds to local crafters who are interested in selling their creations. I’ll be posting images of what I have to sell and links to what they would cost new on Amazon. Shipping costs being high will keep my potential sales to residents in the Melbourne area. Find those images here.
